Trust me - pay the extra $50 and go elsewhere. They are months behind on the driving part. When you call to inquire - they are rude and defensive and won't give a straight answer. They will "maybe" get him in by the end of October. Fat chance of that happening.

Reconsider this driving school if you are in a hurry for your kid to drive once the classwork is done. They said it could take up to a month to drive. Waaayyyy to long!!!!!!

My initial impression of the business was very welcoming and informative. Upon the class being taken and the driving instruction I am pleased to say that I am recommending Tiger Driving School to all of my friends for their teens!

Please. Learn from my mistake! Do NOT go here! Sure, they are less money. But you will pay for it a hundred times over. First of all, the class length was not as promised. 6 hours one day, 4 the next, 2 the third, and class cancelled the fourth day. Then, it took more than 3 months to get the driving in, "on account of the rain". What? This is Louisiana! Don't they have a plan for rain? When that finally happend we went to the OMV and they said the envelope wasn't sealed properly so we had to take it back. When all that was settled we went to the OMV and Tiger Driving had issued the wrong test series! In February they changed they changed the test series and he took the class in May. Please. Go somewhere else!

My son went here in the summer of 2015. Let me start out by saying their customer service was really helpful! The receptionist was very kind about all of the inquiries i had about their courses. The 38 hour course he took properly prepared him to get his permit, and the class was well paced and easy for him. It did take a month between the end of the class and the driving course, but compared to other driving schools this was the fastest option! My daughter went to Smart Start in fall of 2013 and they did not drive her for another 8 months!

Terrible experience. Inappropriate language in the classroom. Lots of dead time

Took several weeks for the boys in the class to have driving scheduled. My daughter came home in tears every day after her driving. And since its s family no one to complain to!

Overall

It is a driving school just like many in Baton Rouge. However, the wait time for the driving portion of the 38 hour class is very, very long. They did write it in their FAQs that it would take months, but I did not read that part when I enrolled my child. So I am writing it here as a review. If I had read a review that it would take months, I would not have enrolled my child at this school. From what I gathered, there are about 24 kids in each session. During the school year, they only teach 2 hours a day after school, Monday through Thursday. I hope they will teach 8 hours a day during the summer months, but I am sure it is still only Monday through Thursday. Most schools teach on friday and the weekends. I'm quite certain there is a large number of students still waiting to take their driving lessons from the classes in February or even last year...it is May now. My child took the class in march, and they still haven't called to schedule the driving lesson yet. So please be aware that it might take 5 - 6 months...or longer before your child can finish the course to get the drivers license. I will write an update later once my child gets to the driving portion so you will know the exact time frame.
