Ribs never at least warm servers allways in a hurry mojo not fresh baked beans would have been better if they had used Bushs out of a can but great ice tea & paper towels and I liked stinky shoes to look a while I wait to be seated!

Provided by Citysearch -I do understand why this place is popular. The ribs and other items are delicious, but it not really that healthy. The service is excellent. The menu choices are extensive for such a restaurant, but how often can one afford to eat this fare?

Provided by Citysearch -I had the pleasure of finally eating at TJ Ribs on last night. My boyfriend has been bragging about this place for the last 3months. And I would have to say the ribs were wonderful!!! Now about about the service it wasn't that great, not sure if they were short of staff or the little guy with the mohawk couldn't keep up!!!! The side dishes were COLD we ordered mojos, baked beans and a sweet potato(it was hot) But, never the less I will visit again.....Oh hurry and get ToGo Menus in, since you don't have a website!!!! (they were out)

Provided by Citysearch -They have dropped the Memphis style ribs from the menu and the quality of the other ribs has fallen. The cooking is not uniform. Four other people told be that they were not going back.
The new owner must think that the old customers will like his changes. We will just have to find another rib place.

Provided by Citysearch -the price you pay and the sides you get is not worth the money i mean 2-bites of mash potatoes not good 1st time i have been there not going back.
all the food was quite tasty and the atmosphere wonderful. it only down is it is a little over priced for the amount of food served you. the service was also excellent, overall a very good experience.

Provided by Citysearch -When you enter the restaurant the atmosphere is warm. The size of the restaurant and its seating capacity is deceiving on the outside because there are a lot of tables. The waiters are polite and efficient writing their name and time of your order in crayon on your table. The ribs are some of the best in Baton Rouge and the quality on all of the food is wonderful. The problem is with portions size on almost everything else. I always feel hungry when I leave unless I get another order of ribs. The beans are disappointing in serving size as are the french fries. The safe bet is with the corn on the cob and a baked potato.

Provided by Citysearch -The bbq here is pretty good - not the best, but pretty tasty all the same. The loads of LSU memorabiia and fun atmosphere makes it a Baton Rouge favorite.

Provided by Citysearch -When I lived in the Lafayette area we would get a group together and drive to BR just to eat these ribs!!! Now that I live here its like being in heaven. The memorabilia is astounding the atmosphere is great and the ribs are the best.

Provided by Citysearch -Best ribs in town, plus a chance to see some of your favorite LSU athletes...especially after a game. Best memorabilia collection around, including Billy Martin's Heisman trophy, Pistol Pete memorabilia, and Shaquille O'neil's broken rim, and shoes.

Provided by Citysearch -These are absolutely the best ribs I've ever eated! So tender, the meat falls off the bone......I always find a way to stop here when in Baton Rouge. Lots of great LSU memorabilia to check out too - including Billy Cannnon's Heisman Trophy. Great place!!!
