Stay away

I wish I had read the following review before I went to Ninfas!! My daughter and I ate there on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. We both went home feeling fine. we both woke up during the night very sick. We spent the entire day Sunday in an out of the bathroom. I called Ninfas and spoke to Matt the manager. I explained that the two of us went to two different locations after our meals. So we knew the food at Ninfas made us sick. He said no one else had called to say they were sick and he would have to investigate the issue. I asked for a refund. Last time I spoke to him was Sunday at 7:30 pm. He said he would call me today. Its now 6:50 p.m. Monday. No call

Don't waste your time (or money)

I've given up on Ninfa's. The noise is deafening, it's almost impossible to find a parking spot because of such a small parking lot and the last two times I've eaten there, I've gotten sick within hours. When the restaurant first opened and for many years afterwards, Ninfa's was THE Tex-Mex place to eat. But within the last two or three years, this place has taken a nose dive. I can't believe it is still even open! Don't waste your time or money!!!

stale

(I can't spell or pronounce these things) Two of the ladies ordered their lunch specials, and 2 of us ordered the casadillia. The lunch special was a huge portion for 9.95 and the casadillia was about 4 inches in diamiter. They cut it into 6 scrawny pieces. loaded the center ot the plate with lettuce, peppers and green stuff.. That cost me 9.95 also.

The server asked all 4 of us if we needed change. WAITERS***** don't do that. it's rude. Then he short changed 2 of us... very ,very disappointed it this place...will not go back.....

This place has nothing on Casa Garcia.

It gets five stars ...

It gets five stars because the margaritas are the best I have ever tasted and they are fair priced. I dont mind waiting on a table because I can have a few margaritas. With Ninfas you know what you are getting.

Good Food

I've always liked the food at Ninfa's. As far as Mexican food in Baton Rouge goes, it's hard to beat. It does get pretty loud and crowded, so I prefer to go for lunch or earlier in the evening, but overall it's not bad.

FUN, FUN, FUN!

Not being a drinker, but being with friends that do. I'm able to have a Strawberry Margarita and enjoy. The staff their attitudes' are always pleasant. And the ribs which are my favorite are soooo good.

Ninfa's experience; dangerous to your health

BEWARE!!! We had a group of 12 eating late one night in January '09 in the room to the right of the entrance. After all the other tables had cleared out, one employeee set all the empty tables with new silverware and plates.. Then another employee started spraying disinfectant on those tables without picking up the plates first. We were astounded and asked him does he realize the danger of what he was doing? He responded by laughing at us and claiming ""at least they are now clean"". He seemed to have no fear that we would tell management. I would never recomend that anyone eat at this establishment who values their health.

If you are looking for poor quality food and a bad dining experience this is the place to go!

What once use to be the best Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge has now become the worst. The quality of the food was terrible and not up to the old standards of TJ Moran's legendary quality and service. Since the remodeling of Ninfa's the noise level has increased to the point that you can't carry on a normal conversation with family, friends, or co=workers. The quality of the food at Ninfa's is far surpassed by the fast food chain restaurant Taco Bell. I do understand that a restaurant can have an off night, but when the Manager finds it humorous that you are having a bad dining experience, and does not want to try to correct the problem then I say it is time to quit eating there. The beans and rice servered with my Fajitas were bland and flavorless. The Fajita meat was processed frozen chicken. What happened to fresh food?

I hate it when my friends say "Ninfas"

Sure, It's OK, but nothing special. Service wasn't too great. Ditto for atmosphere and food.

Queso Del Mar to Die For

Best Tex-Mex in town. A tad on the pricey side. The Queso Del Mar shows up as an appetizer but has to be the most delicious thing on the menu. Something to be said about the waiter rolling four cheese/shrimp burritos table side. Pretty people go here and parking can be an issue if you don't time your arrival right.

Good service, over priced meals but, large portions

I enjoyed the Restaurant's mood, dark and cozy and the waiter was prompt...The only negative thing I found was the prices when I opened the menu...a little higher than I imagined, and the food is not authentic, so, unless you are looking for mex-american style food, do not go there...Food is really great though. I went during the week, so did not have to wait...Thursday evenings are an exellent time to go and not have to wait.

Good spot for going out on the weekends

I've always had to wait each time I've gone to Ninfa's so it's only good to go there if you're not already starving. The food is pretty good, not worth the price to be honest, but still tasty. If you go, you have to try the Ninfaritas! I forget what night they have cheap Ninfaritas but this would be the time to go.

Best Mexican in Town

We go there allot. Great food. I love the ribs and fajitas. We always are taken care of. Big groups sometimes are a problem. Beyond that, they have great drinks just be careful. Those things are potent.

Not what it used to be.

I had the quesadillas. I still think they taste great but they are significantly smaller. When i mentioned it to the waiter he said ""maybe i should school the kitchen on how to cut them.' Thanks for being able to solve my problems. The margaritas are average and the service is mediocre at best. Way to go T.J.

Delicious but you have a long wait...

Well, first off they do have great food, but the wait can be unbearable. I NEVER go there on FRI/SAT because that's when everyone else is there (especially when college is in session). Very noisy in there b/c amount of people. Wait staff is ok, but not that great. Slow on drink refills unless the you go at a slow time of day.

Way Over-rated!!

I guess if you like seafood, it might be better, but we were not impressed with the selection or the price!! After living in San Antonio for ten years, we realize how spoiled we were as far as Mexican Restaurants are concerned!

Over-Hyped

Food is nothing to write home about. Service is fair, mainly college kids just earning extra money. It's a good place to go with a group of friends if you really don't care about the noise or the quality of the food. Not recommended for a quite dinner date.
Long wait to get seated.
