From large to small. They take care of my daughter’s GSD and my own mini doxie. They are wonderful with them and I find the vets knowledgeable, excellent and compassionate. Their staff is great too. We board whenever we can’t bribg the dogs with us. They take such good care of them.
The entire staff was so sweet with my kitten, and so helpful. I mentioned at her checkup that she had been coughing, and the doctor asked me to film it and bring it by any time for her to listen to. It turns out that she had a respiratory infection, and they got us antibiotics and now she's doing great. we will definitely continue to take her there!
I took my puppy there for the first time and the experience was very pleasant. The receptionist was polite and welcoming. The veterinarian and staff was informative and explained all the details about my new addition to my family. I will continue to do business there.

I adopted a kitten from Garden District a few years ago, and I had a lot of questions since this was my first pet. Dr. Andersen took her time to explain vaccines, nutrition, and neutering. She even talked me through a few behavior problems. When I adopted my new baby, a malnourished, young dog with heartworms, I knew where I was going to take her for her care. The heartworm treatment seemed really confusing, but the staff was very helpful (and patient!) in explaining it to me. Tessa recovered nicely, and you could never tell she had such a rough start in life! The doctor and staff are always nice and compassionate. I would never take my pets anywhere else!

My 8 month old lab was spayed by a vet at a different facility and her incision site became badly infected. Dr. Anderson was extremely kind and reassured me that my pet was going to be ok, and sure enough she looks better already! I will take all of my pets to her from now on, she was great.

We're new to the area and I went to this vet because it is very close to our home. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. We waited for 45 MINUTES and the staff was not at all apologetic. The doctor was just ok. She was not very friendly nor did she show much concern for my pet. Overall I was EXTREMELY disappointed with my experience. Despite the fact that this vet is less than a mile from our home, we will not be returning.

i had recovered two animals in the recent 3 years i've been back home in louisiana . one is a wonderful jack russell 7 year old from craigslist. this guy even helped us with jacks anxiety from storms, meaning mild medicine only at the point that he might get too crazy and hurt himself. he was very gentle with him and was very good with my ""condescending"" girlfriend (""rich girl"") who was very short with him because of these ridiculous reviews from folks who obviously want to encourage people to spend great sums of money elsewhere!! and she swears by him now! he helped with skin condition, full diagnostics, his diet, all of Jacks little problems!! my girlfriend loves jack very much and takes him only to this guy!! now the vet here is an older gentleman and i have at least twenty friends who use him!! most are students and can't afford to go to these other vets who need to cover their new facilities!! this guy has been here for a very long time!! and i got several recommendations (from other folks who deal with animals) before going to him starting ten years ago!!
as for the cat she is another about seven or eight years old she was overweight and had lung problems among other things. he was so gentle with her!! as a matter of fact we'll be bringing her to him tomorrow!!
if i was these other vets i would start racking up what i could on you too folks!!!! your money in the bank!!
this doctor is amazing!!
closing i add that your money isn't as important as your need to be condescending!! and this doctor is the best in baton rouge!!
he is not condescending!!!

I had a similar experience as the previous reviewer a while back. My cat was ill and apparently had fluid pressing against her lungs. This vet didn't check her properly, diagnosed her as being dehydrated, injected her with fluid (wrong!) and sent her home. This actually made her condition much worse and she almost died that night. I took her to another vet that night, who saw her as an emergency case, kept her overnight in an oxygen chamber and treated her properly. If not for the care of this vet, she would have died. Close call (and a very heart-wrenching night). She was fine after that - with proper medication. I would never, ever bring any pet there.

When I took my pet there, Dr. Stuckey was not only condescending, but also didn't run BL00D (sorry, citysearch forbids the usage of the real spelling) tests or check the temp of an animal who had pretty bad edema. He gave us diuretics! I took my pet to a different vet the next day where they ran BL00D work, took x-rays, aspirated the problem area and thoroughly discussed the issue. White BL00D cell count was very high. Suspect infection or cancer, but gave me antibiotics in case it's tick-bourne, while we wait for radiologist feedback. My neighbor hates Dr. Stuckey and accuses him of killing his dog due to this type of neglect. Sad; now I know how and why. I spoke with someone who used to work with Stuckey and they told me similar stories of sad neglect of a sick animals and being condescending to his clients and staff. Apparently, many have lost animals because of his nonchalant attitude or just never knew the truth about their animal's condition. If you just need vaccinations, meds or things you are already educated about, he is all right, but if you need anything more than that, do NOT go to him or you are risking your animal's life. I have four animals and know a couple of things about a good vet. This is not one of them.
