In the last 2 years service has deteriorated. Demeanor of repair men especially to women is disappointing.
They did seem able to diagnose the problem. They planned to come back to fix it, which was okay , but then they changed the time of the appointment and CHANGED the price, in the middle of our job. We lost our money
They sent a tech to build the bottom of my fireplace. When i questioned them about it, he said that I will see once it is finished. Their boss called for them to finished another job. They came back many days later to what I thought to finish it right. I found out from the city's inspector and another company that the hearth will collapse. I asked the general manager Wayne to please send someone else to do it over. He said no. And they will not give me the $600 I paid for it back. I cried. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
I have been seeing commercials on TV for Calvin's on a daily basis. I decided to call them today and ask them to fix a few things at my house. They told me they do not service my area. They will only go as far as the Walker city limits. I live less than 2 miles from the city limits. I guess they have more than enough business and they don't need mine. I will make sure I tell everyone I know to never use them.

Before I go on a rant, the response time of this company is superb! I called early in the morning and within 30 minutes or so, they were calling me to come out to fix my problem. Now, for the bad part. The problem I had was with my washer. Calvin's came out and determined that the lid switch was bad. They replaced the part and they did fix the actual problem. After I got home, I started looking up prices on what this part would have costs. This washer is a Kenmore brand, so I looked on Sear's website. I was astonished to find this part would only run about $10.00 or so. Calvin's charged me $173.00 to come out, figure out the problem, replace the part and charge for the part. The techinician was only at my house for 30 minutes or less. I am still really confused of what I paid for. It apparently was not the actual part. Gas prices are at about $1.70 a gallon right now. I am sure this techinician does not make $50,000 a year in salary. Granted, Sear's wanted me to wait a week for them to come out. Calvin's was quick and easy. Just be aware of pricing before getting things fixed.

Calvin's misdiagnosed my leaking washer. After paying to change a seal that didn't need replacing (I told the plumber I thought it was a drainage problem) I discovered only two days later it was in fact a stopped up drain. I had to pay another company to unclog my drain. I called and left message at company but no one even called me to say they were sorry or offer me at least a partial refund. Very disappoined in the way I was treated.
